Describe your average day…
Being a Senior Account Manager means I am developing and maintaining long-term relationships with my clients daily and focus on providing the best possible service each and every day. I ensure that our clients receive the requested services in a timely fashion. Checking that clients’ goods have been received into the depot correctly. I liaise closely with the planning team to ensure client deliveries are routed within our committed lead times.
Tell us how you came to be in this role?
I started with the company in its infancy, working in the retail and e-commerce department. As the company began to grow and focus more on the logistical side naturally my role changed and grew over time. I then moved into the role I am currently in as Senior Account Manager.

What’s your favourite part of the job?
Being around the team. It can be a tough and stressful job at times but no matter the situation someone will always be there to lend a helping hand. We have a good supportive culture here and we are proud of that.
What three skills do you think you need in your role?
Patience, Good communication and a sense of humour!
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
Every job has its own challenges but the main one would be dealing with damages/mishandling of products. It’s never nice having to report damages to clients, but it is part of the role and we take great care in what we do and train the drivers through the academy so this isn’t very often.
How would you describe the team at Furdeco?
A great mix of people who work very hard and also provide many laughs! The team has a real ‘family like’ feel about it. There’s never a dull moment!
What’s your biggest achievement so far?
Buying my first home!
Why would you recommend working at Furdeco?
Absolutely! Great company with a real tight knit family feel. The company is thriving and growing year on year and it’s great to be a part of that change. And of course, the great people!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing and watching movies!
What was the last film you watched?
Jurassic World Dominion! Good to see the casts of Jurassic Park and World coming together!
If you could meet one famous person, who would it be?
Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock!
If you could go back into any period of time, which year would you choose and why?
It would have to be; 1999. I was enjoying University life to the full then and I got to see Man Utd win the treble.
