Furdeco's Eco-Friendly Misson

Here Furdeco, our values and culture are of utmost importance to us and we take the responsibility of being an eco-friendly company very seriously, making every effort to reduce the overall environmental impact we have from our warehouse and offices to our vehicles themselves.

Some of the ways in which we do this include:

Recycled packaging

As you can imagine we have a lot of packaging waste however, all of our cardboard, plastic and styrofoam packaging is compressed and taken to a recycling centre. This counts both the packaging we receive at our warehouse and the packaging your products come in, which we will remove and recycle for you after delivery.

Donated Goods

We will remove your old furniture such as sofas and bed, including returns which, through our reserve flow process, will be collected at the same time we deliver the replacement reducing mileage and allowing more peace of mind to the customer. We have also partnered with British Heart Foundation to collect and deliver donated goods to their stores across the uk and are currently looking into solutions to have unusable items such as broken or damaged goods recycled.

Paperless

The Furdeco office is currently paperless and we are working towards making all aspects of our work paperless by implementing technology first based processes. All key customer service points have already undergone this change and are technology based including signing for packages digitally and sending paperwork via email.

Vans

Being a delivery company our carbon footprint is higher than the average company due to the amount of miles we cover, however we are continually working to ensure our vans have as little environmental impact as possible. All of our vans are made within the last 3-5 last years meaning they are up to date with government environmental measures and require the use of adblue, which breaks down nitrogen oxides and converts them into water vapour and nitrogen which aren’t harmful to the environment.  All routes are fully optimised to ensure the maximum deliveries can be made within the shortest distance possible, instead of sending multiple vans to the same area.
